Airguns & Gasguns:
I have been asked about the use of airguns, gasguns and even paintball guns in self-defense and I know some people who were able to use them in defending their property, I will give some advice on them, because there could be a false safety behind these "guns" ... The fact is that airguns can kill a person but it depends on luck, power of the gun, skill of the shooter, ammo, the gun's construction. In the case of gasguns there is a) the loud noise that can be enough to scare of a burglar, b) there is the use of CS2 (tear-gas) or pepper cartridges ... (pepper cartridges as ammo are only available for 9 mm, CS2 for 9 and 6mm).
Later on I will put some more info on these guns... I must say that I love airguns for shooting practice inside my home. Some airguns are only available in the USA oand are much more powerful than those available in Europe and Canada, most airguns are restricted to 7,5 Joulles. These airguns can kill a person, but mostly by accident. Or you must be a real good target shooter and place your shot on the soft targets of the body like the eye or the throat. Airgun pellets are available in different sizes and types, the penetration power depends on size, material, form. There are hollow point pellets and "full metal jacket" pellets, they are much better in penetrating flesh and can crush bone, they are designed for hunting practices, but you never know.
